BYD’s seven new cars have recently registered in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology to declare information, which is expected to be put on the market in 2025.
Dolphins and seagulls
As the sales force of BYD’s small car market, the design of the new dolphins and seals is basically the same as that of the current models, but the details are fine-tuned. Among them, the body size of dolphins is lengthened and the intelligent driving system is upgraded, while the seagull increases the number of cameras, mainly to improve the intelligent driving.
New Qin PLUS EV/DM-i
BYD Qin L is not only the champion of car sales in 2023, but also the champion of this year. Both EV pure electric and DM-i models have been updated, and the appearance has been obviously upgraded. The difference is that the grille is different, and the size continues to be optimized.
BYD Seals 05
The new car, the former destroyer 05, is a compact car with the latest design of Ocean Series, and its power will be upgraded to the latest fifth-generation DM-i power, that is, a plug-in hybrid system composed of 1.5L+ motors.
Sea lion 05 EV
As a sister model of BYD Yuan PLUS, the appearance of the new car is also very similar, especially the slender headlight group, but it is still obviously different from the 05 DM-i model, but the body size of the pure electric version will be smaller, with a length of only 4520mm and a wheelbase of 2720 mm. Power is equipped with lithium iron phosphate battery.
Sea lion 07 DM-i/DM-p
The Sea Lion 07 declared this time is two hybrid models. Compared with the pure electric version, the appearance is still very different. The light strip running through the front face is connected with a slender light group and equipped with a laser radar. The new car has two power versions of two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive, and the four-wheel drive version is named Haishi 07 DM-P.
BYD will launch at least seven new cars in 2025, most of which are modified models, but there will be room for growth in sales. (Source: BYD)
